Gegharkunik Province Governor Provides Updates from the Border and Local Communities
There have been no reported incidents of gunfire from the Azerbaijani Armed Forces towards the villages in Gegharkunik Province at this time. This information was shared by the Governor of Gegharkunik, Karen Saroyan, during a conversation with journalists.
“I visited the communities of Sotk, Kut, Azat, and Norabak. During my visit, no gunfire was heard in any of the communities. There has been no change in civilian life. There were residents who were engaged in agricultural activities in the fields, and I spoke with them; they mentioned that they are enthusiastic about their work,” Saroyan noted.
It is important to mention that the Ministry of Defense recently released a video showing how the Azerbaijani side is concentrating additional resources towards Sotk.
Earlier today, the Armenian Ministry of Defense reported that the enemy has been spreading disinformation since August 31, creating an information base for yet another provocation. Starting on September 1 at 07:50, intense fire was opened in the direction of Armenian positions located in the Sotk area.
As a result of Azerbaijan's provocative actions, the Armenian side has suffered two fatalities and one injury.
The Ministry of Defense had also previously stated that the enemy is using mortars.
