Video: Parents of Missing Soldiers Protest in Front of Defense Ministry; Tensions Rise
Parents of the soldiers from the "Chemists Brigade," who went missing during the 44-day war, are holding a protest in front of the Ministry of Defense, demanding a meeting with Minister Suren Papikyan.
It is noteworthy that yesterday, Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan met with the parents of the missing soldiers, but they insisted on a meeting with Papikyan. The meeting was scheduled for today; however, the Ministry postponed it, leaving it for tomorrow.
Recall that during the 44-day war, soldiers from the "Chemists Brigade" were transported to Artsakh on October 21 due to a combat task and a faulty order, resulting in their entrapment. As a consequence of the situation, out of 40 soldiers from Abgaryan’s "Chemists Brigade," 5 were captured, 12 were killed, and the remaining 23 soldiers along with the bus driver are missing.
Several high-ranking military officials, including General Andranik Makaryan, have been designated as suspects in connection with the case.
