Batch of Combat Helicopters to Ukraine: Czech Defense Ministry
The Czech Republic plans to provide a batch of combat helicopters to Ukraine in the near future, as well as participate in a training program for Ukrainian pilots to fly American F-16 fighter jets. This was announced by Czech Defense Minister Jana Černochová, who is attending a meeting of EU defense and foreign ministers in Spain.
"Currently, we plan to supply more combat helicopters to Ukraine, and we are also discussing ways to train Ukrainian pilots for F-16 aircraft," Černochová stated. She did not specify the number of helicopters.
It is worth noting that earlier, the Czech Republic signed a deal worth over $790 million with the United States for 12 American combat helicopters. Czech media speculate that after receiving these American helicopters, the Czech Republic may transfer 15 Russian Mi-24 helicopters from its arsenal to Ukraine.
