Vagif Khachatryan's Daughter Appeals to Paris Mayor
The daughter of Vagif Khachatryan, who was abducted near the illegal checkpoint established by Azerbaijan at the Lachin corridor, has appealed to Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo to assist in returning her father from Baku. This request was made by Vera Khachatryan following a press conference with Hidalgo.
It is noteworthy that the Mayor of Paris traveled today to the Syunik region, specifically to the city of Goris, to provide urgent assistance to Artsakh.
"It has been more than a month since my father has had no contact with us. All members of my family are in Artsakh, and I am the only one in Armenia. We are hopeful that you will help us return him from Baku, as my father is innocent. Every moment is critical for him," Khachatryan stated.
Following a brief conversation, Hidalgo embraced Vagif's daughter and assured her that she would try to take some action in her country regarding the matter.
It should be noted that Anne Hidalgo arrived in Armenia today, August 30, to personally accompany the humanitarian aid being sent to Artsakh and to provide urgent assistance.
Recall that Vagif Khachatryan was abducted by representatives of the Azerbaijani border service on July 29.
