Counterfeit 20,000 Dram Banknotes and Fuel Vouchers Being Sold

Auroranews has reported that one of the Telegram pages advertised on TikTok is selling counterfeit documents. Upon examining the page, it became clear that it primarily offers forged 20,000 dram banknotes. The posts on the page claim that these are replicas that are indistinguishable from the originals, with prices that are quite attractive.

It is notable that under good advertising conditions, people may be duped and become accomplices of individuals engaged in illegal activities. The page's administration asserts that terminals accept these counterfeit banknotes and that they can also be used for purchases in stores. According to the posts, 5 fake 20,000 dram notes are sold for 20,000 drams, 10 for 40,000 drams, and so on.

Additionally, the page also sells fake vouchers for Flash gas stations.

Auroranews reached out to the Police and the Press Office of the Prosecutor General's Office to inquire whether there have been recent cases of counterfeit banknotes in circulation, whether they are aware of the existence of such pages, and what measures are being taken to prevent people from falling into this trap and becoming participants in a criminal scheme. They requested a written response.

Once again, it is emphasized that the sale and circulation of such banknotes and counterfeit vouchers are illegal.
