Major Car Accident in Yerevan: 3 of the 5 Injured are Children
On August 28, a major car accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 15:10, at the intersection of Arzumanyan and Halabyan streets, a collision took place between a Lexus GX 470 and an Opel vehicle. This was reported by shamshyan.com.
According to the news outlet, 5 individuals were injured in the accident, 3 of whom are children, and they were transported to the St. Astvatsamayr Medical Center. The first responders included citizens and a team of emergency medical personnel.
As a result of the collision, the Lexus veered off the roadway, crashed into a metal barrier installed on the sidewalk, broke it, and partially ended up on the sidewalk.
The police from the Yerevan division transferred information about the accident to the Road Transport Crimes Investigation Unit of the Armenian Investigative Committee. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
The patrol service and the investigation unit are working to identify the drivers and the victims.
