Extraordinary Incident in Gegharkunik Province: Opel Crashes into a Herd of Sheep

Today, August 27, an extraordinary incident occurred in Gegharkunik Province. At approximately 20:50, an Opel vehicle crashed into a herd of sheep in the administrative area of Vaghashen village, along the Sevan-Martuni-Getap highway.

According to shamshyan.com, fortunately, there were no injuries reported in the accident; however, about 20 sheep died on the spot, and 5 more sustained injuries.

The patrol service is working to determine the identities of the driver and the owner of the sheep. According to information from Shamsyan, there was a sign in the area indicating that citizens have the right to transport large and small livestock in that section, while the driver claims to be not at fault for the incident.

Documents are being processed at the Martuni police station regarding the incident.
