Lawsuit Filed Against AstraZeneca in London Over Deaths Following Vaccinations
Relatives of citizens who died after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine in Great Britain have filed a lawsuit against the vaccine manufacturer. This was reported by Reuters on August 23, noting that this will be the first such trial in the country.
Initially, a lawsuit was filed in the High Court in London by British national Anish Taylor, whose wife, Alpan, died in March 2021 after receiving the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine. According to his lawyer, Peter Todd, around 50 others are expected to do the same in the coming months.
On August 21, pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca was also sued by Jamie Scott, who was diagnosed with thrombocytopenia after vaccination. His interests are represented by the law firm Hausfeld, which added that around 40 other citizens intend to take similar action on his behalf. The plaintiffs will demand monetary compensation from the company.
