The National Security Committee of Kazakhstan announced yesterday that measures are being taken against illegal activities at the border, without specifying what specific activities they were referring to.

The Kyrgyz border service reported that previously, 14-15 vehicles passed through the "Ak Tilek" border checkpoint in one hour, but yesterday only one vehicle was allowed through from the Kazakh side in 4-5 hours.
