Known Who Replaced General Surkovikin

The acting commander of the Aerospace Defense Forces has been appointed the chief of staff, General Viktor Afzalov. This was reported by the Russian state agency "RIA Novosti," citing its sources.

"The former commander of the Russian Aerospace Forces, Sergey Surkovikin, has now been relieved of his position. The duties of the commander of the Aerospace Defense Forces are temporarily carried out by the chief of staff, General Viktor Afzalov," the source told the news agency.

He replaces General Sergey Surkovikin, who has not been seen in public since the June rebellion led by Wagner leader Yevgeny Prigozhin.

It was previously reported that Russian General Surkovikin had been relieved of duty.
