VIDEO: Japanese Protest Against Ocean Release of Water from Fukushima-1
Dozens of people gathered near the residence of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida to protest against the release of water, treated for radioactive materials, from the Fukushima-1 nuclear power plant into the ocean, despite the rain. This was reported by the TASS news agency.
The protesters demand that the Prime Minister listen to the opinions of local residents. As previously reported, Prime Minister Kishida announced that the release of water from Fukushima-1, treated for radioactive particles, would begin on August 24.
According to local media, inhabitants of northeastern Japan, activists, and those engaged in the fishing industry have also expressed their opposition to this governmental decision.
