Not All Armenian Universities Agree to Organize Remote Classes for Artsakh Students

Not all universities in Armenia have agreed to organize remote classes for students from Artsakh. This information comes from MediaHub.

In an interview with the media outlet, Artsakh students mentioned that they have been visiting the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports to submit applications and present documents proving their admission to universities outside of Artsakh, while waiting for their turn to be transported to the Republic of Armenia by Russian peacekeepers. One interviewee noted that they had been informed that Russian citizens would be prioritized for transportation, and students admitted to the Yerevan State University would also receive preferential treatment.

“We can't even hope for remote education, as the lack of internet connectivity and electricity will definitely hinder our ability to conduct classes. Besides, not all universities in Armenia have agreed to organize remote classes for Artsakh students,” added the interviewee.

It should be noted that yesterday, on August 21, Russian peacekeepers transported 41 citizens from Russia and Artsakh from Artsakh to Armenia. However, the citizens were only taken as far as the Hakar Bridge, and they crossed on foot with their luggage before reaching their waiting vehicles on the other side. Among those transported were Russian citizens and students who have been accepted to universities in Armenia or abroad.
