Large Fire in Gegharkunik Province: Flames and Smoke Visible from Hundreds of Meters Away

On August 16, a large fire occurred in Gegharkunik Province. Around 21:15, reports came in about a house roof burning on the road leading from the Hazarat neighborhood of Gavar to the village of Gandzak.

According to shamshyan.com, police and patrol officers cordoned off the area to allow firefighters, along with local residents, to battle the blaze. Smoke and flames were visible from several hundred meters away.

Fortunately, there are no reported injuries. The fire broke out in one of the garage-storage facilities of a multifunctional automotive service center. The Gavar police department is working to identify the owner of the automotive service center and to determine the circumstances that led to the fire.
