Lavrov and Bayramov Have Had a Phone Conversation
Today, a phone conversation took place between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The information was reported by the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry. It was noted that the conversation was initiated by the Azerbaijani side.
The foreign ministers exchanged views on a number of international and regional agenda issues. “Particular emphasis was placed on the necessity for the practical implementation of previously agreed steps aimed at the rapid de-escalation of the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh, including the unblocking of humanitarian routes, particularly the Lachin corridor,” the statement said.
It was stressed that the comprehensive implementation of the trilateral agreements between the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan is indispensable for achieving a stable resolution of relations between Baku and Yerevan.
The ministers also emphasized that attempts to replace concrete actions in this direction with political and propaganda campaigns are ineffective.
