Tragic Incident in Gegharkunik Region: Citizens Recover Body of 48-Year-Old Man from Lake Sevan

On August 13, a tragic incident occurred in the Gegharkunik region.

At around 5:30 PM, a report was received that a citizen had gone missing while swimming in Lake Sevan, near the ‘Vegas’ resort area, and it was possible that he had drowned.

According to shamshyan.com, before the special rescue team from Sevans’ number 30 unit could arrive at the scene, citizens managed to bring the man, who was about 3 meters from the shore, out of the water.

The ambulance crew from the ‘Sevan’ medical center, who arrived at the scene, confirmed the man’s death.

The police and investigative department determined that the deceased was 48-year-old Edgar H., a resident of Yerevan.
