Water is Life, No One Should Be Ignored: Armenian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson on Water Issues in Artsakh
The spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ani Badalyan, addressed the urgent issue of water scarcity faced by Armenians in Artsakh in her post on X (formerly Twitter). She highlighted a statement from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations regarding the vital importance of water.
“Yes, water is life, and no one should be ignored. At the same time, in the context of the severe humanitarian crisis in Artsakh and the hot summer weather, people are also facing the problem of water scarcity. Due to the lack of fuel, the pumps are operating at half their capacity. The UN, FAO, and other organizations need to rally efforts to open the Lachin corridor,” wrote the spokesperson.
