Video: Pashinyan, when you are led to prison in handcuffs, no one will take to the streets for you. Mamijanyan
The Anti-Corruption Court is examining today, August 12, the request to extend the detention of Republican Party Vice President Armen Ashotyan. Supporters of Ashotyan and political figures have gathered in front of the court. National Assembly opposition member from the "I Have Honor" faction, Hayk Mamijanyan, made a statement and noted that Armen Ashotyan has proven that this government is preparing to hand over Artsakh to Azerbaijan.
“Pashinyan, look carefully at the people gathered here, imagine this multiplied by a thousand when it comes time to send you away. And think carefully that the blessed day will soon come when you are led to prison in handcuffs, and no one – not your relatives, nor those deputies, nor those who line up to greet you – will take to the streets for you,” said Mamijanyan.
It is reminded that Ashotyan was arrested by law enforcement on June 15. He is accused of misuse, organization, and violation of the conditions of a preventive measure. According to the Investigative Committee, this was manifested in Ashotyan attempting to send his chosen lawyers to witness questioning in order to know the content of the interrogations. It is noted that the criminal case is related to the former rector of the "Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi" (YSMU) foundation, Mikayel Narimanyan.
