Kyiv attempted to strike the Crimean Bridge with an S-200 missile. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

“On August 12, around 1:00 PM Moscow time, the Kyiv regime attempted a terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge using a modified version of the S-200 surface-to-air missile. The Ukrainian missile was detected in time and intercepted by Russian air defense systems,” the ministry stated.

Earlier, it had been reported that Russian air defense systems shot down two missiles in the vicinity of the Crimean Bridge, causing no damage. The head of the region, Sergey Aksyonov, indicated that special services had applied smoke cover over the Crimean Bridge.
