Paris Demands Unblocking of the Lachin Corridor
Paris demands the unblocking of the Lachin Corridor, as well as the permanent supply of gas and electricity to the local population. This was stated by Olivier Decottignies, the Ambassador of France to Armenia, on his X (formerly Twitter) microblog.
“France demands the restoration of the free movement of people, goods, and products through the Lachin Corridor in both directions, as well as the uninterrupted supply of gas and electricity to the population. We remain fully committed to the EU initiative aimed at establishing just and sustainable peace in the region,” he wrote.
Earlier, former prosecutor of the International Criminal Court Luis Moreno Ocampo noted that the blockade of the Lachin Corridor, which connects Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as the obstruction of food, fuel, medicine, and other essential goods for the local population by Azerbaijan, should be considered as genocide.
