Video: Nikol Pashinyan Talks About His Accident

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has revealed that he was involved in an accident in Gegharkunik during the 2017 parliamentary election campaign due to poor road conditions.

"I was behind the wheel, we had an accident, and the reason is that there was a layer of sand on the asphalt when I tried to brake, which extended the braking distance," he stated, encouraging citizens to file lawsuits against service companies in such cases. "Wherever you go, there is a large sign indicating that a specific company maintains the road, but in reality, it does not," he added, noting that the responsibility for oversight lies with the inspection bodies.

He instructed to conduct a service inquiry and report back on those who are not fulfilling their duties, including oversight. "The government needs to change its attitude towards the money it spends," he concluded. Details can be found in the video.
