Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Yerevan: 04 Hits Pedestrian Crossing at Non-Designated Area

Today, August 11, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred in Yerevan. At around 22:20, a ВАЗ 2104 vehicle struck a male pedestrian who was crossing the street at a non-designated area, in front of the ‘Jonik’ fashion store on Bagratuniats Avenue.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver did not flee the scene and called for an ambulance. The emergency medical team that arrived promptly confirmed the pedestrian's death.

As per the investigator's instructions, the vehicle is being transferred to the special area of the police department in Yerevan. The police and the investigative division are working to identify the driver and the deceased. The photojournalist reports that the victim was crossing the street at a non-designated area while moving an installed trash bin.
