Video: Armenians Paralyze Traffic in Burbank

Thousands of Armenian Americans organized a protest and blocked streets in Burbank, California, in solidarity with the besieged Artsakh.

The act of civil disobedience commenced a few hours ago. Initially, the protesters formed a vehicle procession from Burbank to Glendale, subsequently blocking one of the main highways and paralyzing traffic for nearly four hours.

According to the participants of the demonstration, they are heading to Burbank, where an announcement will be made regarding the outcomes of a discussion between His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Terteryan of the Western Diocese of Armenia, Glendale Mayor Ardy Kassakhian, and U.S. Congressman Adam Schiff.

The protesters carried flags of Armenia and Artsakh, as well as banners with slogans such as “Open the Lifeline,” “Stop the Genocide in Artsakh,” and “Adam Schiff, Don’t Ignore Us.”

“It is everyone’s duty to be here, to stand by Armenia and Artsakh,” stated Glendale City Council member Elen Asatryan. The protesters also called on Armenians worldwide to rise and not remain silent.
