Russian Companies Will Not Be Able to Extend Microsoft Licenses After September 30
Microsoft's management has decided not to extend the licenses for its products to Russian companies. This information was disclosed in a letter from the technical support of Microsoft Online Services, which was published by the TelecomDaily information-analytical agency on its Telegram channel.
According to the message, the cooperation will conclude after September 30. Representatives of the American corporation also explained that this is due to issues related to monetary transfers. They stated that Microsoft cannot accept payments from Russians to local bank accounts. As a result, it is impossible to extend the provision of services in the territory of the Russian Federation.
"All active subscriptions will continue to function until the end of their remaining term, in accordance with the terms of the users' contracts. However, they cannot be extended," the technical support staff warned.
In this regard, the American company has advised users from the Russian Federation to take measures to ensure data security and avoid losing it after the end of cooperation.
At the same time, Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin accused Microsoft of supporting the Kyiv regime. He noted that since the very beginning of the SVO's creation, this corporation has been providing various assistance to Ukraine under the pretext of strengthening the country’s cyber security.
