Citizen's Suicide Attempt Prevented; Hospitalized

On August 10, at 06:40, a distress call was received by the Shirak regional rescue service’s crisis management center, reporting that a citizen was attempting to commit suicide by jumping from a window of a building on Shirakatsi Street in Gyumri.

A team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ regional firefighting and rescue service was dispatched to the scene. It was found that A.G. (born 1995) was threatening to take his life by jumping from the second floor of the building (approximately 3 meters high).

The rescuers successfully prevented A.G.'s suicide attempt at the moment of the jump and brought him to the ambulance. The citizen was subsequently hospitalized at a medical center in Gyumri.
