Car Goes Off Road and Rolls 5 Meters into a Ravine: 1 Fatality

On August 10, at 4:08 PM, the crisis management center of the Syunik regional rescue service received a call reporting a traffic accident on the Vorotan-Shamb road, with a gas leak present. This was announced by the Armenian Rescue Service.

A firefighting and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.

It was revealed that a "VAZ" brand vehicle (driver: L. M., born in 1958) had gone off the roadway and rolled approximately 5 meters into a nearby ravine.

“Before rescuers could reach the scene, L. M. succumbed to injuries on the way to the Sisian Hospital,” the statement said. Rescuers have shut off the gas valve of the vehicle's gas cylinder.
