Video: Man Deliberately Sets Car on Fire in Kotayk Region

On August 9, an emergency incident occurred in the Kotayk region. At around 09:50, the National Emergency Situations Service received a call reporting that a car was burning in front of one of the houses on 2nd Street in Arinj village. This was reported by shamshyan.com.

According to the news outlet, a fire truck team from Fire and Rescue Squad No. 11 arrived at the scene. Members of the patrol division of the Kotayk regional police also arrived. The officers secured the area, while the firefighters managed to extinguish the fire in the parked BMW vehicle.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries from the fire. It has been established that the vehicle belongs to Harutyun M., and the rear end and trunk of the car sustained partial fire damage.

Additional information indicates that the car did not catch fire spontaneously but was intentionally set ablaze, as documented by a nearby surveillance camera.

Note: The suspect in the alleged crime is considered innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the procedural law established by the Criminal Procedure Code of Armenia through a legally binding court decision.
