The military coup leaders in Niger have denied entry to representatives from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), the United Nations, and the African Union. This was reported by Al Jazeera, and noted by TASS.
According to Saudi Arabia's Al Arabiya, citing sources, the National Council for the Salvation of the Homeland, established by the rebels to govern the country, has also refused the entry of the ECOWAS delegation into Niger. The reasons behind this ban remain unclear.
