African Countries Plan to Send 25,000 Troops to Niger

African countries are planning to send a 25,000-strong military force to Niger to restore President Bazoum's authority. This was reported by the French media company RFI.

The United States and the EU have supported the economic community initiatives of West African countries but hope that negotiations will still be sufficient.

Representatives from the African Union, the Economic Community of West African States, and the United Nations will travel to Niger to negotiate with the rebels.

It should be noted that French and American military contingents continue to remain in the territory of Niger.
