Number of Injured in Turkey Due to Silo Tower Explosion

Twelve people have been injured, three of them seriously, following an explosion in a silo tower while unloading grain at the commercial port of Derince in western Turkey. This was announced on August 7 by the mayor of Hojayeli, Tahir Büyükakın, as reported by the Anadolu Agency and conveyed by Armenpress.

According to the mayor, 13 silos and other economic buildings have been damaged. Medical teams, search and rescue, and firefighting service groups have been dispatched to the emergency zone.

The causes of the incident will be investigated.
