Japan's Embassy in Russia Faces Strong Protest

On August 7, Japan's embassy in Russia faced strong protests regarding the provision of an official venue by Japanese authorities for the "Forum of Free Nations of Post-Russia" to be held in Tokyo. The activities of this forum have been recognized in the Russian Federation as undesirable, with its members included in the list of terrorists.

According to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Japanese side was informed that this move, as well as the inclusion of Japanese parliamentary members in the aforementioned gathering, who signed the final "document" calling for the destabilization of the Russian statehood and its territorial integrity, can only be viewed as an attempt to interfere in our country's internal affairs.

The Russian Foreign Ministry's statement also noted, "Such behavior, which can ultimately destroy the remnants of normal relations dissolved by the Japanese government, must be stopped immediately, and Japanese apologists for terrorist ideologies must face due punishment. In the event of repeated provocations, contrary to warnings, Tokyo should be prepared for the most sensitive response actions regarding Japanese interests in relations with Russia."
