Russia Scrambles Fighter Jet Over U.S. Drone in Black Sea

Russia has reported that its Su-30 fighter jet detected an American MQ-9A Reaper drone flying over the Black Sea. This was announced by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“As the Russian fighter approached, the foreign reconnaissance drone made a turn away from the state border of the Russian Federation. The Russian aircraft successfully returned to its base airport, and no infringement of the state border of the Russian Federation occurred,” the statement said.

It's noteworthy that the U.S. Air Force drone was spotted in the Black Sea area on August 5.
