Police Conduct Operation 'You Wore Yellow, Drugs on Your Seat' in Yerevan
On August 4, operational information was received at the Police Patrol Service of Yerevan regarding a resident of the Davitashen district potentially possessing and distributing drugs. This was reported by shamshyan.com.
According to the news outlet, the police conducted the operation titled 'You Wore Yellow, Drugs on Your Seat'. Patrol officers from the 1st Platoon of the 4th Company spotted the suspect in Davitashen’s 3rd neighborhood, who was driving a Subaru vehicle.
The officers approached him, and the suspect attempted to justify that he was heading to a car wash; however, the police transported him to the Davitashen police station on suspicion of distribution.
A personal search revealed 70 packages containing a greenish substance weighing a total of 129.66 grams, inside his vehicle. The vehicle was then taken to the police's designated safe area at the Davitashen station.
Documents regarding the incident were prepared at the Davitashen police station, which were submitted to the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia for the Ajapnyak and Davitashen administrative districts, where a criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident.
