20 Mobile Phones, 8 Pairs of Headphones and Other Prohibited Items Found in Fridge Delivered to Inmate

On August 2, at approximately 16:15, officers from the Operational and Security Department of the "Nubarashen" penitentiary institution of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, acting on received operational information, inspected a fridge brought by citizen N. D. for the incarcerated individual A. S.

During the inspection, 20 mobile phones, 2 chargers with their cables, 8 USB cables, 1 Wi-Fi device, and 8 pairs of headphones were discovered in a prepared hiding place in the door of the fridge.

Citizen N. D. verbally stated that he brought the fridge with the prohibited items to transfer to the incarcerated individual A. S. An administrative proceeding has been initiated regarding the incident.
