Tanker Loaded with Fuel Overturns on Kapan-Tandzaver Road

On August 2, at 04:08 AM, the crisis management center of the Syunik regional rescue service received a report about a traffic accident at the end of the Upper Khotan village involving a "HOWO" brand truck that had overturned; there were no injured individuals.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia reported that a firefighting and rescue team was dispatched from the regional rescue service and from the Agvan checkpoint. It was confirmed that at the 31st kilometer of the Kapan-Tandzaver road, the tank of the "HOWO" truck, loaded with 22 tons of fuel, had overturned and was positioned in a manner blocking the road in both directions. No injuries were reported, but there was a leak of fuel and oil.

Rescue workers have begun cleaning the section of the road. Special equipment is required to right the overturned tanker.
