Armenia Submits Application to ECHR Regarding Lost Artsakh Resident

Armenia has submitted an application to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) regarding the protection of rights for Rashid Beglaryan, who found himself under Azerbaijani control after becoming lost. This information was reported by the office of the Armenian Representative for International Legal Affairs.

It is important to note that the National Security Service of Artsakh stated that Rashid Beglaryan, a citizen of the Republic of Artsakh born in 1962, recently left the village of Hin Shen in the Shushi region under the influence of alcohol, became lost, and ended up in an area controlled by Azerbaijan, where he was subsequently detained.
