Court Releases One of the Detainees Charged with Assaulting Foreign Minister Mirzoyan

The court has released one of the detainees involved in the assault case against Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan. Who is he? This is reported by "Joghourt".

It is known that several months ago, the National Security Service detained Ara Badoyan and charged him with having joined the participants of mass riots near the government building in Yerevan on November 10, 2020, after an announcement made regarding the cessation of hostilities between Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan.

On September 27, 2020, amidst the outbreak of war against the Republic of Artsakh by the Republic of Azerbaijan, and under the conditions of martial law declared in Armenia and Artsakh, Badoyan had learned through the media that a crowd had gathered and mass disturbances were taking place, and he went to the mentioned location where he allegedly assaulted Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan. Badoyan denied the charges, informing law enforcement that he was present but did not strike Mirzoyan.

This case had been sent to court, and the court released the individual who assaulted the foreign minister on a bail of 1 million dram.
