Claims About Bread Shortage in Artsakh Are False

The Artsakh Fund for Agricultural and Rural Development has announced that there has been a significant increase in the demand for bread recently. Flour mills are producing flour from the harvested wheat; however, due to high moisture content in the wheat caused by recent precipitation, the flour production process is slow and requires additional drying work. As a result, the volume of bread production will be somewhat reduced over the next two to three days.

“The circulating information claiming that there will be no bread is not true. We ask everyone, especially during these days, to purchase bread in moderation so that everyone has the opportunity to secure at least a minimal amount,” the statement reads.
