Putin and Erdogan to Negotiate on August 2: Peskov

The Presidents of Russia and Turkey, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will negotiate on Wednesday, August 2. This was announced by Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, specifying that they will have a phone conversation, as reported by TASS.

Earlier, Putin did not rule out traveling to Turkey for negotiations with Erdogan. The Russian leader made this statement at a press conference following the results of the Russia-Africa summit held in St. Petersburg.

“We agreed to meet, yes, either he will come to us or I will go to him. He had invited me before the (presidential and parliamentary) elections in Turkey, but then we decided that it was better not to do that so that no one could politicize this issue,” said Putin.
