India Provides New Batch of Expensive Medicine to Armenia

Within the framework of Armenia-India cooperation, a new batch of expensive medication has been officially handed over by Indian Ambassador Nilakshi Saha Sinha to the Prof. R. H. Yolian Blood Center. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Armenia.

Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan, welcoming the Indian Ambassador to Armenia, highly appreciated the cooperation between the two countries, especially in the healthcare sector. She emphasized the importance of this charitable program, which allows the expensive medication to be provided to Armenian children free of charge.

A total of 400 boxes, containing 20,000 tablets, will be provided to all 130 patients receiving treatment for thalassemia. It is noted that they use this medication every day.

Accompanied by Lena Nanushyan, the Indian Ambassador toured the blood center, familiarized herself with the conditions and achievements. They discussed new avenues for Armenian-Indian cooperation in the healthcare sector.
