Former Azerbaijani Prime Minister Dies During Plane Landing in Istanbul

Former Azerbaijani Prime Minister Suruət Huseynov has passed away.

According to reports, Suruət Huseynov died of a heart attack while landing in Istanbul. This information was provided by minval.az.

It is noteworthy that Suruət Huseynov served as the fourth Prime Minister of Azerbaijan from 1993 to 1994. He was dismissed following the Ganja events and was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1999 for organizing a coup. However, he was pardoned in 2004 by a decree from Ilham Aliyev.
