“90-Year-Old Man Waited Hungry in Hospital and Received No Help,” User Claims
“While going to work in the afternoon, I saw an elderly man who was walking restlessly, talking to himself. I approached him and asked how I could help. It turned out that the 90-year-old man had come from Masis city at 8:00 AM with a suitcase to receive treatment at the hospital. However, the hospital told him they had no room and suggested he go to another hospital, even though a month earlier they had told him to wait for his turn, which was today.
The poor man had forgotten his cane at the hospital and had left without it, which is why he was so anxious. I took the elderly man back to the hospital, found the cane, and handed it to him.
Until 2:00 PM, the 90-year-old man waited hungry at the hospital and received no help. I want to understand, is our healthcare system so ineffective that it cannot provide service to a 90-year-old man? The man can hardly see and relies on his cane to move. He lives alone; his only caregiver, his grandson, was killed during the Four-Day War.
Getting him back home was another issue. I ordered a Yandex taxi and explained the situation to the driver, saying that the elderly man needed to be taken to Masis. A person who exuded aggression arrived in a filthy car and left without helping.
Being incredibly patient, I couldn't hold back today and showed these so-called 'humans' the esteem they deserve for their cheap and worthless behavior. I have the grandfather’s address and plan to visit in the next few days, bringing some items with me. I think we live in times when helping each other, supporting one another is as essential as air and water.
I received permission to take a photo and have his image on my page,” wrote a user named Aksanna Nersisyan on her Facebook page.
Later, Aksanna Nersisyan mentioned that the hospital had called the grandfather back.
