During a parade organized on the occasion of the Navy Day, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the Russian Navy has been and remains the indestructible guardian of the borders of the Fatherland.

He noted that today congratulations are being extended to the crews of ships and submarines, the pilots of naval aviation, the personnel of ground services, the brave fighters of coastal troops, and the courageous naval infantry.

“We bow in gratitude before all generations of Russian shipbuilders, fleet commanders, and sailors. Their brilliant skills, loyalty to duty and the homeland, professionalism, and talent have decisively influenced the great destiny of Russia in many respects,” he said.

He emphasized that since the times of Peter the Great, the naval forces have served Russia faithfully and selflessly, having achieved significant victories in naval battles, undertaken global campaigns, made great geographical discoveries, and achieved serious advancements in science and technology.
