VIDEO: How Putin Sends Off Participants of the Russia-Africa Summit

Russian President Vladimir Putin concluded a tour with members of the Russia-Africa Summit aboard the joint vessel in Kronstadt near the new Sea Glory Museum in Saint Petersburg. This was reported by TASS.

At the end of the meeting, the state leader told African leaders about the history of the Baltic Fleet. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and the commander-in-chief of the naval forces Nikolai Yevmenov accompanied the guests to the museum.

According to the agency, Putin warmly bid farewell to the leaders of African states and thanked them for their visit. “Thanks to our friendship and our relations, we managed to hold this event with you,” he concluded.

On July 30, the seventh Main Naval Parade took place in Saint Petersburg and Kronstadt. During the parade, Putin congratulated Russians on Navy Day and stated that 30 ships of various classes would join the Russian Navy in 2023. In total, about 3,000 military personnel were involved in the maritime and land sections of the parade.
