In an accident on the road leading to Pyatigorsk, a Mitsubishi Montero SUV collided with a Lada Kalina sedan, resulting in two people sustaining serious injuries. This was reported by the "Stavropol State Traffic Inspectorate" Telegram channel.

The accident occurred on Sunday at the intersection of the "Caucasus" route and the highway leading to the village of Konstantinovskaya.

According to the traffic police report, "The driver of the Lada Kalina was approaching the intersection with a red traffic light, causing a collision with the Mitsubishi Montero vehicle which was traveling in the opposite direction."

A video capturing the moment of the accident shows a person being thrown from the passenger cabin and landing on the roadway.

The traffic police highlighted that the severity of the man and his wife's injuries was exacerbated by the fact that they were not wearing seatbelts.
