VIDEO: Indefinite Sit-In Outside the ICRC Office in Armenia

For months, around two dozen young individuals unable to return home to Artsakh have initiated an indefinite sit-in outside the ICRC's Armenian office. They are demanding that the international organization take immediate action to secure the release of Vagif Khachatryan, a citizen of the Republic of Artsakh, who was abducted today from the illegal Azerbaijani checkpoint located in the Berdzor corridor.

“The urgent reason for our gathering is the abduction of our compatriot Vagif Khachatryan by Azerbaijanis. First and foremost, we demand that this international organization, which was responsible for transporting him, take immediate steps to return the abducted citizen. We have already set up a tent, but no one from the ICRC has approached us yet,” said Hrach Baghdasaryan, one of the participants in the sit-in, to "Factinfo".

It is worth noting that representatives of Azerbaijan's so-called border service abducted 68-year-old Vagif Khachatryan this morning from the illegal Azerbaijani checkpoint in the Berdzor corridor while he was being transferred from Artsakh to Armenia via the Red Cross for medical treatment.
