Russia's Foreign Ministry Responds to Western Interference in Africa-Inclusive Summit
Attempts by Western countries to sabotage the second Russia-Africa summit in St. Petersburg brought no results, but the intrigue continues, said Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry. TASS reports on this matter.
When asked whether it can be said unequivocally that all of the West's attempts to disrupt or at least undermine the atmosphere of the forum have been unsuccessful, the Russian diplomat replied, "Absolutely. I can say that what they had planned did not happen. It is also obvious that they will continue to employ dirty tricks against our country and the entire world."
According to the representative of the diplomatic department, attempts by the West to somehow influence the Russia-Africa summit are doomed to failure on a global level. "But globally, the world will also survive this. And it is anxious for a simple reason: because the bipolar or multipolar system has already ended, but there hasn't been a unipolar one either," Zakharova concluded.
