Video: Wildfires in Turkey Remain Uncontrollable

For several days now, efforts to extinguish the forest fires that erupted in the vicinity of Kemer, a leading tourist area in Antalya province, Turkey, have been unsuccessful. This was reported by Ermenihaber.am.

Firefighting operations are being conducted both on land and by air, but the steep terrain of the area complicates ground efforts. Firefighters are working day and night to extinguish the blaze, utilizing a total of 4 airplanes and 20 helicopters, including helicopters equipped with night visibility equipment.

The Director General of Turkey's Forestry Department, Bekir Karacabey, provided updates on the ongoing operations. He specifically noted that over the course of 4 days, there have been 1963 flights amounting to 431 hours of operation, with a total of 7230 tons of water utilized. Firefighters continue their relentless work to quell the flames through both ground and aerial means.
