VIDEO: Migrant Finds One Million Rubles in Moscow, Now Faces Prison Time

A man in Moscow's Mantulinskaya Street found a package containing one million rubles and decided to keep the money, which has led to accusations of theft against him. The man faces up to 10 years in prison, as reported by NEWS.ru.

The money was lost by a resident of Moscow, who had left the package on top of his car and driven off. The heavy package fell onto the road, from where it was picked up by the migrant. He only remembered the package after he arrived home.

The police were able to track down the foreign national who discovered the package using surveillance cameras. Operative staff arrived at the Mukomolny Proezd hostel and located the suspect. By the time the police met with the foreigner, he had already spent 400,000 rubles.
