The U.S. Plans to Send 'Abrams' Tanks to Ukraine in September: Politico

The U.S. authorities intend to begin supplying 'Abrams' tanks to Kyiv in September, according to a report by Politico. Media sources indicate that several military tanks of this type are scheduled to be sent to Germany in August, where they will be upgraded.

Once this process is completed, the first batch of 'Abrams' tanks is set to arrive in Ukraine next month. It is noted that before Ukrainian soldiers can start using these tanks on the battlefield, they will need to undergo training lasting about ten weeks.

According to the publication, the training will take place at the Grafenwoehr military base in Germany and is expected to be completed in August. Moscow has repeatedly warned Western countries that supplying weapons to Ukraine changes nothing and only prolongs the conflict. As highlighted by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, the U.S. and NATO are directly involved in this confrontation not only by supplying arms but also through training personnel.
