Russian Embassy in Yerevan Addresses WizzAir Flight Situation

The Russian Embassy has released a statement regarding the situation affecting remaining citizens in Yerevan. Due to an aircraft malfunction on July 27, the WizzAir flight W4 2892 from Yerevan to Vienna was delayed, resulting in approximately 100 Russian citizens being removed from the transit zone of Zvartnots International Airport.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the embassy took steps to address the situation. Employees from the consular section of the diplomatic mission headed to the airport to provide possible assistance to Russian citizens. Communication has been established with the central office of WizzAir in collaboration with the Russian Embassy in Budapest.

The airline has announced that arrangements have been made for passengers of the delayed flight to stay at a hotel in Yerevan. The scheduled departure for the mentioned flight is now set for July 28 at 17:40. The Russian Embassy in Yerevan continues to monitor the situation.

The flight is scheduled to depart at 21:10.
